2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

If anyone cares, even with Mack with will probably finish ahead of aggy in the final rankings, as long as we land Warren

In the 247 updates today (still tentative, I think)
DeShon Elliott 4-star
Connor Williams bumped from mid 3-star to a high 3
Du'Vonta Lampkin (90), Charles Omenihu (90) and Ronnie Major (90) 4-stars.

With Mack, they would have a team score of 270.36.  With Warren alone, we would be at 270.31 + anyone else
Might have enough to pass tOSU as well

do any of you remember when Earl Campbell announced his committment and how he decided between OU and Texas?? anybody remember that?
Yep. Switzer said later that if he'd known that Earl was going to ask God where he should go while laying in bed the night before NSD, he would've hidden under Earl's bed the day before. Switzer also said that Earl was the only high school player he had ever seen who could have gone straight to the NFL from high school.

Nahlin on Mack --  "Texas is out.   Really wish I could say what I'd like to on this one."

He says he will not say it on the IT board, only in person.
Can someone channel Nahlin and tell us what he would like to say if he could?

IT says to keep an eye on PJ Locke as a 'flip watch' between tonight and tomorrow.  We've posted a bunch of the tweets - but Boyd, Malik, Devo, and Cherry have all reached out to him publicly.

Nahlin --

Soso to UCLA.

Warren to Texas - thinks Texas fans are not as excited about him as they should be

Deandre Baker - still have a shot

Ryan Newsome and PJ Locke - no idea
(but thinks there will be a surprise of some sort)

McGuire -- still no word -- may start interviewing others next week.

juan i have a question in regards to the final rankings...even WITHOUT mack would we still finish in the top 10 or somewhere around there once we land warren and a few others?

Georgia Boards starting to think they will lose Baker to us

Based in part on fact Baker answered phone call from OB, but wont for any of Georgia sites.

I don't think it's that we're not excited about Warren. I think people haven't recovered yet after getting the wind knocked out of them after the Soso and Mack news. Hard pills to swallow knowing how close we were for both.

Whats funny is that a month ago Warren was my absolute #1 recruit (with Kai a close second), but now it almost seems like a letdown if thats all Texas signs tomorrow.

Its a shame, because Warren is an absolute stud RB who would likely be a 5-star if not for the knee injury junior year.  He's going to cave in helmets as soon as he gets out on the field.

Kai Locksley and Ryan Newsome have become buds, were chatting even before the flip

The surprise on the Newsome front may be if he does not flip (per IT)

He is a stud.  He's a manimal

Honestly, if I'm disappointed about anything recruiting wise, it's the more or less end of Brossette/Texas. We seemed to become infatuated with Jamabo late, entirely understandable, and as a result let loose on Brossette a little bit. I'll be rooting for the kid at LSU. Still my favorite back in the class.
