That is one way of looking at it, but I have a had time believing that you don't stay longer than 20 to 30 minutes with the most important recruit to your class.Obviously, I don't know jack about what was said in those 20 minutes. But we can't, as reasonable football fans, say that Murray didn't simply inform Sumlin quickly of his intention to stay committed with A&M. Could have said there was no need to sell him on anything and that he's solid. Obviously I hope that isn't the case and that he'll be putting a Texas cap on next week. But I don't think we can rule that possibility out.
Assuming everything is true regarding the friction between Sumlin and the Murrays, you would think that it would take longer than 20 minutes to get that resolved. Just speculating here.
Evidently, there wasn't any Gumbo offered to Sumlin. Because the way he is looking, Im sure he would have stayed for a bowl.
