That was just one guy claiming a 20-minute visit, but Lotus usually has some good info. He has gone silent since he posted.

Obviously, I don't know jack about what was said in those 20 minutes. But we can't, as reasonable football fans, say that Murray didn't simply inform Sumlin quickly of his intention to stay committed with A&M. Could have said there was no need to sell him on anything and that he's solid. Obviously I hope that isn't the case and that he'll be putting a Texas cap on next week. But I don't think we can rule that possibility out.

The CEO of Twitter, Dick Costolo, also happens to be a Michigan booster, and he also happened to commit a minor NCAA violation on the social media platform he runs.
That's Costolo responding to a tweet from Michigan 2014 commit Wilton Speight to recent 2015 commit George Campbell. It's a harmless tweet, but it's also an NCAA violation.
According to one of the roughly billion rules the NCAA has, a booster is not allowed to contact a recruit until after the recruit has signed his letter of intent with the school. Not in person, not on the phone and not on social media.
A little differently, but remember when our new coach got in trouble at ou for Tweeting with prospects:
That's Norvell tweeting at Rashaad Samples, a receiver out of Dallas Skyline High School. Norvell is considered an excellent recruiter for his work in Texas and California. He coaches offense for Oklahoma. And he's also going to need a new cell phone number after tweeting his out. The tweets have since been deleted, but not before screencaps were grabbed.

20 minutes? Seriously? If true that is not good for aggy IMHO.
Sumlin: this is one of the top ranked QB's in the country, a legacy, an early commitment that is leaning toward our former biggest rival. You do not let him get his final visit with you limited to 20 minutes and then you know your rival gets him for the last time tomorrow.
If it was truly 20 minutes then I view that is bad for aggy. If I was Stumblin, I take my time. Open by asking questions, answering them, overcoming objections, then setting the table at aggy, making the pitch for why a&m, painting the picture of what Kyler will do for the team, the program while I point out what I will do and my coaches will do for him the next 4 years.
I spend a few minutes assuring Dad (and Mom) that all actions will be taken to insure that the lad is coached up as well as provided the proper discipline to: go to class, respect women, no guns, no drugs, respect his coaches and fellow players, etc.
I will then ask for feedback, questions and ask why he would not want to be a part of the team and then have answers to his questions and information to overcome any objections while accentuating the positive.
In my mind it should have taken Sumlin at least 1 hour.

I agree but it could have just as easily been Kyler telling him he is done and going to Texas but your way makes more sense.
You would think that the Murray's would at least offer dinner or spend more than 20 minutes if he were committing to A&M to end the process. I would think that would be cause for a bit of a celebration and a "YES SIR" from Sumlin to calm down the Aggie fan base.

You know it has got to be eating the aggies up. I mean here we are in the mist of one of our worst stretches in our history, had a poor first year under our new head coach, and seemingly no positive momentum. Then you have the aggies with their move to the SEC, Johnny Football, beat Bama their first year, yada yada yada. Yet, despite all of that they realize that even when they are at their "best" and we are at our "worst", they are still playing second fiddle to the University of Texas.
