2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Really excited about those Johnson boys. Seems like a lot of UT fans are forgetting about them - especially what Kirk will be bringing to the field.

Nobody has a freaking clue what these kids are going to do. Some of them may not have decided at this point. i think the Newsome kid decided while he was at the microphone the other day. He darn sure didn't appear to have a clue when he started talking. All these kids might say Texas or they could all go elsewhere.

Bad thing about coming in second in recruiting is you might as well be last for all the good it does ya. Actually hurts to come in second because you wasted a lot of effort on a kid and got noting out of it; when you could have been after another kid you might have had a better chance at.

If we don't get a QB, we are screwed. Its as simple as that. After seeing what we have, kids should have been knocking the door down to come here looking at how Strong was working to fix the OL. Instead we have nothing going into February, but one guy who says he is still solid with FSU, and an Aggy legacy who has been an Aggy lean all along and may opt for MLB.....Losing Gentry is a dagger in the heart of we don't get one of those guys to PLAY for us next season.
Mr. GBT you are hilarious my man..

My company is a sponsor of this site. Everything else is just gravy for me. I spent 17 years in the print news business. So some of this is quite natural for me and is enjoyable.

One of the first things I did after landing here back in December of 2013 was tell HS higher ups that JuanGrande and UTisdabomb were staff-worthy. Guys are on the ball and know their football.
thanks man!

Why do we keep forgetting we have the number 1 qb from the class of 2014? Merrick, too. Possibility of a transfer and Swoopes. Yes, I know the last one did awful a lot this year but it still provides competition. I too was of the mindset that if we don't get a QB we are screwed but Heard has been putting in some serious work during the off season. All is not lost and it doesn't take away that this class still will be a top 10 possibly a top 5 and even a chance at a top 2 class in the nation. It helps build towards the future. Strong has turned heads. I was at the event in Fort Worth last April when he talked to the fans. He said Texas won't ever lose in recruiting in the state of Texas again and he has proven that this off season. We had an awful year but he still has the top kids in the nation thinking of coming here. The guy never fails to amaze me.

Thats why I dont get mad at the recruit guru dudes.  How are they supposed to know?  The kids often dont even know.  All these guys actually know is what they were told.  Maybe it was true or maybe it wasnt.  Or, maybe it was true at that point in time, but not later?   They say what they were told and, if they are lucky, it actually happens that way.  If not, then they look bad.  I dont let myself get emotionally involved with this part of recruiting.

Daylon Mack got 6 CBs for Texas today = not bad

That is what you call a good trend

my cheerios have yellow water in them.....

I dont tweet them directly

I do fav stuff

This is my recommended approach for everyone here
AMEN .... the NCAA definition of Booster is very broad, you have to be careful about what you text or Tweet "to" or "at" any possible recruit

My nephew works in the UT recruiting office for Coach Strong and Co. and he is not allowed to even text me, email me or do any Tweets or Social Media about or with recruits until they sign NLIs per NCAA compliance

Swoopes will not be the QB next year. Heard will have his chance if nothing pans out and he is a talented kid. Merrick could EASILY be a gem with the right coaching.

I mean consider this: We don't get Murray but he goes MLB. So Ags go into next year with ONE QB. Merrick is coached along by Murray's Dad, becomes the starter, ends up making us forget about KM but the entire time he is coached by an AGGIE.

OK, we need to find a loophole to get around this

Ideas?
