2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

I'm more interested in if JT Barrett will be returning to Ohio State. After the performance that Cardale put on the last three games, Barrett might have to find a new home. It's hard to sit the guy who helped you dominate Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon.

I cant remember if the 2014 full season Soso Jamabo film was posted

At his SPARQ event, he came in at 6'3, 200.  247 shows 6'2.5,210, while others list him at 215.

Have also seen 40 times at 4.5 to 4.6, but his interesting running style makes him appear faster than that

When the third string is better than your first team

By the way, check out the depth of the last two Ohio St classes --

http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Season/2013-Football/Commits

http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Season/2014-Football/Commits

Their classes were ranked --

2012 5th

2013 2nd

2014 3rd

Over the same period, Oregon went

2012 13th

2013 19th

2014 21st

In fairness, it is also worth noting that both Marcus Mariota & Cardale Jones were 3-stars.

And Mariota did not even start in HS until his senior year.  His only other scholarship offer was from Memphis.

Everything he does is so seamless and effortless. Whether it's making cuts, finding the gap, finding blockers downfield or accelerating, he's a serious commodity. I'm hoping he's the surprise recruit. But I do feel like he's probably UCLA bound.

Totally agree.  At times, it looks like he is barely trying.

Of course he is, but he makes it seem to effortless.  It's uncanny.

I can think of a few offenses he would better than ours.  Will take a great sales job to get him here.

I'd be surprised if Cardale doesn't turn pro - dude is already 23 years old and stock will likely never be higher.  Draft analysts love the kids physical tools.

See, I would be. I get the age and all of that. I get he's 22-23 and has a kid. But regardless of how great his performances were in those games, I just can't see any GM in the NFL looking at those three games and deciding that Cardale is the future of their program. It's too little of a work sample. I couldn't see him going any higher than the 4th Round. Then again, Cassel was drafted in the 7th Round and he threw less than 20 pass completions in his entire College Career. So I suppose crazier things have happened. But I don't know, if I'm Cardale, I have to really think about going back for one more year to really solidify that high draft stock.

Yeah I haven't seen much film on Soso which I was hesitant on whether he was a take or not.

After watching that highlight reel that kid is a stud. He has two things you can't teach 1) Instinctive vision, almost like he knows where the tackler is coming from. 2) Jitterbug quickness. He reminds me of a Reggie Bush a lot.

They are completely different backs, but no way in hell we should wait on Warren IMO if Soso is available.

Here is Jeff Howe's take on who among the current 2015 commits might be playing as freshmen --

".......... Texas needs Quincy Vasser and Brandon Hodges to be immediate starters. This needs to happen. The 5-technique is so valuable in this defense and that's where Vasser will play, while Hodges could be an immediate upgrade at offensive tackle.

Patrick Vahe and Connor Williams could both crack the two-deep in the offensive line right away. Vahe is college ready from a skill set/performance standpoint and Williams is a vastly underrated early enrollee. Gilbert Johnson could step right in and fill the role as the big split end with a huge catch radius and the ability to high-point the ball in tough spots recently vacated by John Harris. Devonaire Clarington, who has legitimate potential as a five-tool tight end with an NFL ceiling, also fall in the immediate impact potential category.

Defense is where multiple freshmen could start. Malik Jefferson is the best bet to start at the WILL position when the Longhorns hit the field in South Bend against Notre Dame while Anthony Wheeler will push Dalton Santos for playing time in the middle. If Tim Irvin does indeed make it to Austin he'll be given every chance to win the starting nickelback position and also appearing in the secondary early could be DeShon Elliott, my early bet to start the opener at safety next to Jason Hall.

And all of those way too early projections don't include prospects still on the board like Holton Hill, Kris Boyd and Chris Warren. All three of those blue-chip targets might not start per se, but they're likely to play starter's reps early in their careers should they pick Texas.

This class for Strong will be similar to the 1999 class Mack Brown brought to Austin. The Longhorns need an infusion of talent in so many spots, and there's such a thirst for competition it's tough to see many redshirts in the futures of the upcoming signees just like with guys like Rod Babers, Robbie Doane, Derrick Dockery, Cory Redding, Chris Simms and Bo Scaife, each of whom played early and often as rookies."

Our recruitment has been a head-scratcher. Not sure why the staff did not go all in. It seems both sides are just kicking the tires.

aggy recruiting Kris Boyd

— Twitter API (@twitterapi) November 7, 2011

"Ennis, Texas, defensive end James Lockhart committed to Texas A&M in late July and has never once wavered from that pledge. Now, he is working to convince another top prospect to join him in Aggieland.

Lockhart played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl with Gilmer, Texas, four-star cornerback Kris Boyd and the two got to know each other well. Lockhart wants Boyd to join him at A&M.

Lockhart had been set to use his official visit to College Station this coming weekend, along with many of the other commits, but has now rescheduled until the weekend of Jan. 23 because that is when Boyd is set to be there. Boyd is set to be at Texas this coming weekend......"
