And thus ends the Peyton Manning era

P. Manning really should hang 'em up.

Risking paralysis with his neck issue is no way to play the game. He's done enough.

I wish Luck would have been good enough to get an offer from Texas. Every time I see him play, it's a reminder.

Arm definitely has lost some zip, throws to the flat looked Case McCoyish, deep balls floated. Still better than 75% of NFL QBs though. Forgot he made the Super Bowl last season! Of course he forgot to show up last season.

i'm a Manning fan. i guess most of us are. but man, he looked like he'd aged a lot in the last few weeks.

reminded me of watching ken stabler on the '80 oilers. guile, but no fastball.

If I remember right, Luck was always going to Stanford.
Doesn't change the fact that we invited Luck for the Feb 2007 Junior day and he left without an offer. We didn't want to scare away Garrett Gilbert.

Agreed but every coach in America would have taken GG.

From what I recall we brought him in on a visit to tell him we didn't have any more scholarships to offer. Classy move there, and a horrible evaluation of a great QB. Exactly the type of evaluation issues that led to the coaching change.

I really hope the Colts surround Luck with a better OL, running back, and defense. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think Luck will ever win a Super Bowl.

Manning is without a doubt one of the greatest ever to play the game. However, I feel the problem with ole Peyton is he either looks unbeatable or just bad...

Now, you can't look at his performance last night without looking at the drops that his top receivers had, but I swear Colts Cornerback Vontae Davis was reading that Bronco playbook all week long!

Davis had 5 PBU's!!! that's just outstanding
