Hoops: Texas vs. Oklahoma (with postgame press conference notes)

All we hear about is how great we are at blocking shots, doesn't mean a heck of a lot when we can't get any buckets. These guys look overmatched, coaches did not get these guys ready to play. So we only allow 25 points a half, but can only score 10....not great math there. I think I will sign off before my head implodes .

Are the Lady Horns in town? Maybe they should play? Might make the game closer. This is fugly!

3-23 shooting in the first fifteen minutes.

When shots don't fall, the team can't let it affect the rest of their game (the way they have).

Gonna be a loooong season in the Big 12. .I missed a meeting to see this ?????

OU, Baylor, Kansas, TCU, WVU all better than us. We will be lucky not to finish in the bottom half of the Big 12 (10)

We have no perimeter scorers ( consistent scorers anyway )... Stanford exposed us.......Announcer is right. Its painful to watch.

Not a very good half from Texas. We aren't going to win this game but we need to get in a rhythm in the second half. Not a good gameplan by Barnes. We actually got good looks every time we fed the ball inside.

OU is doing a good job doubling at the right time.
Which is exactly why you feed the post. If they are doubling it opens up the perimeter. I don't mind jumpshots if you feed the post first. Coming down and jacking against this team won't work.

Don't matter. They won't make the shots from perimeter.

You could give them a shot of tequila and they would miss their mouth. Very frustrating tonight.

The biggest problem offensively is I'm not sure why Barness keeps putting Ibeh/Ridley on the perimeter. I can understand running a pick and roll game with Turner/Lammert but putting Ridley/Ibeh on the perimeter is calling for a disaster. Ibeh and Ridley need to have their butts in the paint. When Ridley/Ibeh aren't down low OU just leaves them wide open, and sag off the screens.

There's no way Turner, Taylor or Ridley are ready for the NBA. Only player that's a risk to leave after this year is Turner because of his ceiling.
