Koenning & Chambers Fired

WRs ( even Dez ) have trouble catching passes when they have no earthly idea where they may be thrown to from play to play. ( high, low, wide, to nobody, to DB/LB )

Brewster?
He qualifies as the type of recruiting maestro we need.

But I have no idea what type of relationship he has with Strong.

Plus, it would be a lateral for him

He needs to go back and get Wyatt... Chambers and Koenning both had alot of Texas guys so he MUST replace them with guys that know Texas well.

Read on another site the Koenning will stay on in some capacity in the athletic department.  So we may still have his connections available

Brewster has to be called until he say No. He makes about $400k at Fsu, offer $600k-$650k and get him here.

Clearly #1 TE coach and recruiter we could get.

You could get him for $450K but that is high for a TE coach.

TE coach and recruiting coordinator for Offense. BJM can be LB coach and RC for D.

$450k, he needs to be announced at midnight tonight

I doubt Brewster would leave FSU before their playoff game(s) are done.

According to 247 Brewster isnt  just setting the world on fire recruiting wise at FSU.. He has had some great TE production though. 450 would be way to much imo.

TB is historically a damn good recruiter and with ties to Texas, Florida and all over. He has HC experience. Has coaches some damn good TEs:Nick O;Leary, Alge Crumpler, Gates, Derek Lewis(UT), Bo Scaife(UT) and others.

He also convinced Mack to give a scholarship to VY, which might be his biggest achievement.

He is also currently the primary recruiter for 2, 5* and 4, 4*. He is a take.

Wishful thinking as per the ?????

But why not. Locksley has been offered by Texas, right ? We could use another QB in this class. He is good. His dad is the Maryland OC, and we could use an OC who can gain more yards than 59 in a bowl game. He could coach TEs or WRs, or move Watson to TEs/WRs and let him coach QBs. He has coached a lot of positions in his 20 years, and is said to be a hell of a recruiter.

Care to elaborate.. Is this chatter you are hearing or wishful thinking. Also how is he viewed in the state and as a recruiter?
Mike Locksley is considered one of the top recruiters in the country. He's been named in the top 25  college recruiters three times and once was a finalist for recruiter of the year. He would be a home run hire even without his son.

Charlie Strong and Locksley were on the Florida staff for two years.

Why wait until today to fire these guys? Why not fire them the day after bowl game? Maybe cause Maryland played last night ? Maybe Locksley is in play.

Well damn I hope CS makes it happen then. Sounds like a good situation for all parties. Seems though like it would only work if locksley made a lateral move. I wonder how long until we start hearing some rumors with potential replacements.

Getting Locksley would mean Watson is out as OC. That sounds good to me after seeing the Texas Bowl and the vanilla no trick plays no nothing offense after a month of preparation. Is Charlie smart enough to go after him and is Locklsey interested in Texas.??

When Charlie was putting his staff together he hired Watson as QB coach. The OC tag was not put on him until AFTER the staff was hired. That was strange. Usually a head coach would hire his coordinators and get their input as to who their assistants should be. At least 99% of any good head coach would do it that way. Maybe we will have a new OC next year.

Locksley brings nothing to the table in my opinion as OC except his son. Maryland offense is nothing to write home about and he was probably worst HC New Mexico has had and that is saying something. He may be a good recruiter but surely there are good recruiters who can be a better OC than this guy.
