OT: Cars

Lexus 350 or the Honda v6. The Bmw is nice. I love driving them around they are really built with the comfort of the driver in mind but there's a reason why they say BMW=broke my wallet. I've both worked on cars and sold cars for a living and I can tell you if you get the honda or the lexus(which is just the toyota luxury line) you and your wallet are going to be a lot happier when it comes time to do maintenence and repairs.

Which Lexus/Acura model is comparable to the M3?

Save you some money and get the Honda Accord with the V6. The top of the line model is listed in the mid 30s. If you have a good friend that's a mechanic and you like spending time with him, then buy the BMW.

I have to agree - the BMW we had (X3) spent more time in the shop than in my driveway.
Everyone seems to have different experiences with BMW's, I've had 2 328i's and never had any problem with them. They can be very expensive to service but BMW offers 4 year 50,000 free scheduled maintenance on their new cars.

How about some American Muscle?  Look at a vette; as in Corvette.

I'm a Chevy guy myself, I have a Silverado and I like Corvettes. We got an Accord for my wife, she loves it and I admit it's fun to drive. An Accord for the money is the best deal out there based on our research.

Bottom line is it's your car SF and you're the one who has to decide. Good luck!

Probably the Lexus IS 250(http://www.lexus.com/models/IS) or the Acura TL/x (http://www.acura.com/retired-models/tl) Out of the two of those I prefer the IS250
Both also good choices. The TLX (the combination of the TSX & TL) is a great car to drive. this is the base they are using for their Prototype and GT race cars with the exception they put a twin turbo into the race cars. I had a 2008 TSX (currently have a 2014 TSX) and it was great on both the road and the track.

I think both of these will give you a little bit softer ride than the BMW.

Honda's reputation for manufacturing the best engines is well-deserved. I own and continue to drive a 2005 Honda Pilot (yeah, I know it's an old beater) that has given me no mechanical problems whatsoever. Manual says to only change the oil every 7500 miles, too, but I usually do it 5-6k. It's been very low maintenance.

It's been a great vehicle! So, yeah, I'd highly recommend an Acura - their Lexus - or Honda

I'm right there with you, their engines are darn near bullet proof.

Okay, now y'all have me focused on Lexus and Acura.

The designs of the Lexus and Acura are quite boxy.

Only Lexus car I find pretty is the Lexus RC F.  Looks really bad-ass.  I like a lot!

That's a great car, it's very fast. It's based on their GT3 race car.

I'm a Nissan/Infiniti fan...check out the Q50/Q70

SFLHgirl, you have no idea how sexy you would be in a Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi. That would almost be unlawful.
