Tom Herman (tOSU OC) takes UH job

Cougar High lands a nice one.

This is the guy Strong originally wanted and he started as a GA under Mack.

out there in tweeter world and supposedly the UH AD is texting people. . . .

This is going to make recruiting in Texas even tougher.  I know we're generally not competing against programs like UH or SMU for top recruits - but having two more very capable and well regarded/connected coaches in Texas is going to take things up another notch.

Rumor that Major may join him there

Yep. Competition just got tougher, especially for recruits in the Houston area.

Find it hard to believe a recruit would choose UH over Texas if given the option.

Cougar High will always be cougar high, Horns will be in deep tapioca if they ever get into a "recruiting battle" with a commuter school.  Good grief!

I can remember when UT couldn't beat UH. Do you? They are putting a good staff together that will put some pressure on the other Texas schools for Houston area recruits. I didn't say they would be on an equal recruiting footing with UT. Good grief.

Liking the Charlie Brown quotes above.

Beaty at Kansas Herman at UH and Morris at SMU wont hurt UT but they will make it tough for teams to come into Texas and take kids.
