New Year's "6" released (and latest on Texas projections)

[Matt Cotcher]

Cotton Bowl: Michigan State v Baylor

Fiesta Bowl: Boise State v Arizona

Peach Bowl: Ole Miss v TCU

Orange Bowl: Mississippi State v Georgia Tech

Some of the minor bowls are being announced. Don't look for anything official for Texas until the Valero makes their pick.

Here is the latest, I'm being told:

UT Official: "They're leaning hard on the Russell Athletic committee right now. It helps that OU doesn't look like a great option."

As much as i would love the Texas bowl bc its down the street, i think Russell Athletic bowl would be great.

Who would have thought a Brian Harsin coached team would have made it to a (former) "BCS" bowl before we would?

[Matt Cotcher]

FOX in Houston says Texas is in the Texas Bowl.

Sponsored by Popeye's, no less. Arrive by sailboat, eat fried chicken on the beach, then go to a bowl game.
