[Sirhornsalot]

I see Gilmer and West Orange Stark meeting in the state final two weeks from now. That will be a doozie of a game.

[Sirhornsalot]

John Tyler vs Aledo next week. Ohhhhh my!

[Sirhornsalot]

Keep an eye on the Class 5A Div 2 game between #10 El Paso Canutillo vs Everman at Grande Stadium in Midland.

If Canutillo wins, it will be the furthest an El Paso school has gone into the playoffs in decades.

For whatever reason, Ft Worth seldom has schools this deep, either.

this one is interesting to me. my son played for Boerne (as y'all are sick of hearing) and was the starting SS. we're 4A and beat them, but he said Sonora was the toughest team they played.

[HornEsch]

Lots of upsets!

[Aaron Carrara]

Katy looks ferocious.

[Sirhornsalot]

Katy vs Steele should be a dandy, assuming Steele handles Brandeis tomorrow.

[Aaron Carrara]

Katy RB's Anderson and Porter tore it up tonight.  Kyle Porter is really fast.

[Sirhornsalot]

Whichever one of those is the Jr, I know Texas has been in contact with him, maybe both of them, not sure.

Cecil Cherry, the LB from Victory Christian, scored a touchdown this evening. He returned an attempted onside kick for a touchdown. When he got to the sidelines, he flashed the "Hook'em."

According to TOS, Cherry has now said he will not sign with Tennessee and Texas is now at the top of his list. He says he'll bring Clarington and Gilbert Johnson with him. Will not announce until NSD. Has been contacted by USC and Auburn this past week.
