Texas versus Saint Francis

Javan Felix is limited with a foot injury. Kendal Yancy will start in his place.

Not too sharp of a first half for the Longhorns.

With Yancy starting at 1, this was bound to be an ugly half. Realistically, this is nothing more than a scrimmage.

There's no need to play Felix or Ibeh right now. They could play but let Barnett, Croaker and Yancy get some more minutes. No need to tweak those injuries. It's a positive that we are getting some other guys minutes.

Minus the turnovers I actually like how we are playing. I still think we need to feed the post like we are tonight. Easy baskets and prevents easy baskets on the other end. Texas only gave up 23 points, with several contested 3s hit by Saint Francis.

Other than the turnovers this style of play will be effective. It won't be pretty, but teams will have a difficult time scoring. I honestly think we've been playing a little too uptempo/not feeding the post enough in the first 4 games.

Barnett needs to stop chucking and work within the offense. Stop the early three attempts and work the ball with teammates.

Turner finishes the game hitting 11 of his 12 shots (3 of 3 from 3pt land, 25pts total), 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists, 1 steal and only 1 personal foul!

What makes Myles impossible to guard is his size/length. He's 6-11 but his wingspan makes him like 7-1. There's nothing you can do to stop his jumpshot, he can shoot over just about everybody. Even when Saint Francis doubled last night Turner turned around and shot over them. Unless a team has some height, there's no stopping Turner

The hype surrounding Turner is gonna be gargantuan by January if he keep this up.
We have some huge matches before then

And, eventhough we have UConn first, that Kentucky game looms out there for me as potentially something special.

I love matchups like this & will be fully geeked up by gametime
