Let's talk TXHSFB Playoffs

I don't know about you guys but I've always loved the playoffs.  Spending the first two weekends of the playoffs at Texas Stadium to watch the triple header with my buddies was about as cool as it got.  For some reason I've lost that feeling a bit since the move to AT&T Stadium.  I guess I just liked sitting in that crappy, drafty stadium.

Anyway, what games are you guys looking forward to?  The 6A brackets in North Texas look to have some delicious matchups in the next few weeks. 

I'm going to be out at the Rockwall Heath vs Newman Smith game in Irving Friday night and we hope to talk to Deshon Elliott after the game.  I'll also be out to see Denton Guyer vs. Plano at AT&T Stadium Saturday where a triple header full of future college talent is scheduled.

Guyer vs Plano - 11AM

Cedar Hill vs. Colleyville Heritage - 2PM

South Grand Prairie vs. Trinity - 8PM

Obviously I'll be missing a portion of the Cedar hill game and all of the Trinity game since the Horns kickoff that evening. 

So tell us, where are you headed this weekend?

IMO, upset alert on the SGP vs Trinity game. SGP gave Cedar Hill and DeSoto fits.

Coppell vs DeSoto should be a dandy game. I might go to that one. Longhorn commit Connor Williams will be playing.

1-9 Smithville and some 0-10 team which has lost 56 straight games is in too.  There needs to be some kind of tweak to the system, like taking the top 3 teams in a district and awarding that last set of schools based on some kind of merit.  There are a few 7 win teams sitting at home while that hot mess is playing this week.

The Ville is in some trouble without the big time QB... A team to watch up north is Dallas Skyline. This will be the year they make a big run and Manvel down in Houston. Both are loaded up.

The way I read it, it appears that Katy and Manvel are both in Region III.......and assuming that the stars align just right...those 2 are going to clash at some point on the way up the Class6a-DivII ladder toward the semi-finals. I'm  pretty sure the consensus on this board would be Manvel by at least 10...if not 14.. Personally I'm not so sure.....although it's possible that Katy's talent is not quite up to their highest standards this year.

But not many teams in the state play as well as a TEAM...year in and year out...as Katy. They just find a way to win.

Pringle, Katy must be a TB factory. There are two there I hear are pretty salty. Most teams hope to find just one.
