Alderman – The Longhorns look to rebound from a disappointing performance last week in Manhattan, KS against a reeling Tech team coming off an embarrassing loss in which they surrendered 82 points to TCU. While Texas looks better on paper, it's always tough to win in Lubbock, especially at night.
I expect the Longhorns to come out Saturday night and attempt to win the game on offense with long, time consuming drives, coupled with a strong defensive plan that focuses on pressuring the QB and forcing quick throws and possible bad decisions that lead to turnovers. Tech's offensive performance will hinge on just how much Webb's ankle injury has affected his mobility. If he's able to move well, the Raiders will keep the game close. If he has limited movement or Tech has to go with Mahomes, the Horns will shut down the Red Raider air attack. I'm thinking the injury will hurt for Tech.

Carrara – Regardless of whether or not Davis Webb plays, the Longhorns get their 6th straight win against Tech (3rd in a row in Lubbock). Sans Webb, the Longhorns win big. I’ll take extra cheese on that tortilla,,,

Cotcher – Despite the team’s struggles, this is a game that Texas should win by 3 touchdowns. Tech is a pedestrian team with a Head Coach incapable of providing the leadership the Red Raiders need. My problem with the game is that when these Horns get in their own heads and start thinking about how they’re playing, instead of just playing, they don’t execute; they commit penalties; they have no rhythm on offense…y’all know the drill.
Texas is going to win this game, but to many folks, it won’t feel like a win.

Feeley – The chance to get the wheels back on! With any BIG12 game it's hard to predict the outcome. This Texas Tech squad has the 10th ranked passing offense and they are going to use it. Texas struggles with the short passing game, especially in the middle of the field. I'd expect Texas Tech, after having a team put more than 80 points on them, to come out firing (not to mention the 'Lone Star' jerseys they will be sporting to aid with excitement).
The good news is Texas' handled offenses that rely heavily on the pass well this season (ex. Baylor). Texas will most likely be playing in a three man front and there will be a huge amount of responsibility put on this D-Line to get to the QB. Texas defense should be busy and has a daunting task facing them this week, but Texas' offense should be good to go! The LEAST amount of points a team has put up on Tech was 21...

Flanagan – The Texas Offense isn't at the level that TCU is at but they are better than what they showed last week. Tech's defense is terrible, Texas' defense is good. Therefore, Texas will slow Tech down enough to win the game.

Hinton – As any Texas fan knows, it's nearly impossible to predict how this year's team will perform any given weekend. It has never been easy for the Longhorns to win in Lubbock, especially at night; however, the Red Raiders are struggling just as badly (if not worse) than Texas. I expect that we will see more of Swoopes running the ball, and the running backs should have a big night. The main key to the game, however, is eliminating mental errors. If the Longhorns can do that-- and not beat themselves--then they leave Lubbock with a win, keeping their bowl hopes alive for another day.

Hopkins – Tech had their butts handed to them by TCU, so they'll be hungry for a win. Tech doesn't have the drive that Texas does though, so Texas will come out on top. Our offense will need to play more efficiently and we can't waste yards by getting penalties.

Roach – This matchup is one of two bad teams trying to salvage something from their season. There isn’t a lot from Texas to give me confidence that they can beat good teams, but Texas Tech isn’t a good team. The Red Raiders are far more pedestrian on offense than they have been in recent years, and they are terrible on defense. The Texas defense has shown the ability to suffocate good offenses at times this season. The environment will be a little crazy for Tyrone Swoopes and some of the younger players, but the bottom line is Texas has no business losing this game.
