Iowa State - initial thoughts

Our secondary was horrid. . .

Duke Thomas was part of that. . . .sorry .. .don't buy into the self promotion. . . .

WTF cheese? How does Duke Thomas help me? lol

IMHO, the kid has a ton of upside and is finally starting to grow into that. His best days are still ahead of him.

Kind of hard to complain about a secondary that had two interceptions and took one of those to the house. We haven't done much of that this year.

Duke told Babers and the LHN crew he is a shut down corner. . .he wants to be the next Deon . . .I assumed that was the reference.

But the reality is, he is weak in man coverage .. . frankly a liability and has been. . . will he get better?  Sure. . .All Conference better?  doubt it, long way to go.   BTW, he's a senior next year. . .but here's hoping he pulls a John Harris.

Sorry if I am not that impressed with a secondary that was lit up for over 300 yards and 3 TDs .. . .btw, Thomas' INT was thrown right to him. . . let's not act like he broke well on the ball.
