This needed to happen. As much talent as there is coming out of Louisiana lately, Texas needed to have something for those Louisiana kids to look forward to. This benefits both schools in a huge way.

Interesting tidbit I picked up from a Louisiana native. He said the reason many names originating from there have an X at the end was those folks were not literate and had others write their names. They placed their X at the end to sign. Of course that doesn't pertain to current day folks who inherited those names (well possibly a few).

This is looking like a better school to play than Notre Dame. While Notre Dame is a bigger deal on a national level, a trip to Louisiana can help recruiting in the future. It look like Coach Strong has targeted Florida and Louisiana  besides the great state of Texas for recruiting.

I LIKE WHERE YOURE HEAD IS! I love this series and hope we schedule more of them... Itd be great to watch our boys give them their first loss of the season, two years in a row! F the $ec.

This is a much better match up and opportunity for us than ND... Couple wins in this series could really sway some of the LA boys.
