Remember back in the day when shoes were made of leather, or at least leather looking products? Shoes have evolved to plastic looking materials, "man made products". Function of cost to manufacture, but also makes athletic shoes lighter weight for improved performance. Just thinking nostalgic-like.

I guess I should rewrite my post: remember when shoes were made of old tires and cloth! This product has stood the test of time. Not a single upgrade in what, about 60 years? Also the worst shoes ever made for athletic activity, no arch support and flat. Still selling for $40, wonder what the profit margin is on those bad boys?

earlier today, i saw the above mentioned upon the bleacher report.  if you look very carefully, as per the item that the owner is exhibiting... you shall notice that the star look's like the "star of bethlehem".​

the dallas cityscape, look's a bit biblical.  surely, this cannot be their objective....​
