Longhorns in the NFL

Good for Ogbonnaya to carve out a pro career. Great young man.

Interesting that both duos, Lamarr Houston & Henry Melton and Kheeston Randall & Brian Robison could be playing alongside each other this season.

FYI Melton is now a Cowboy, not a Bear. So, absent of some changes, those 2 won't be playing together.

Duh. Of course, you're right. My mistake & brain fart.

Interested to see "if playing opposite Jared Allen helps Houston's stat line" was the storyline I was thinking of....

Vaccaro and the Saints should be a blast to watch this year.  New Orleans doesn't just have a good offense - the defense under Rob Ryan looks to be pretty stout.  I can see these guys making it to the Super Bowl with the talent they possess on both sides of the ball.

Saw that Brady Quinn and Rex Grossman both just signed with teams. Every time I see a signing like that I wonder how that makes VY feel.

I noticed that Jackson Jeffcoat had a couple of tackles for Seattle against Denver the other day. Im pulling for him to make the team.

Lousy, i'm sure.

meanwhile i'll take colt mccoy over the dumpster fire QB situation in HOU right now.
Speaking of Colt, is he essentially trying out for a chance on another team or do the skins plan on keeping a third QB? Seems the second string guy is entrenched as the #2.

i stumbled across an article quoting a Redskins' broadcaster saying Colt would be the Redskins back-up to RG3 for the next 5-7 years. The thinking being Cousins would have some trade value and he'd be moved.

I'd love to see Colt get another shot as a starter since but there's a helluva lot worse jobs than being a back-up QB. and who knows, if RG3 doesn't learn how to slide, Washington may give him that chance to start anyway.

If he is RG3s backup he will definitely start some games this year. Hope he sticks with the skins, would hate to see him cut right before the season starts. One of the greatest Longhorns ever, on and off the field a class act.
