Texas continues to build momentum in the 2027 recruiting cycle with a major in-state pickup, landing 4-star prospect Cameron Hall, a rising edge defender from Mansfield Summit.
Hall, a physically imposing 6-foot-4, 250-pound EDGE, is coming off a highly productive junior campaign that put him firmly on the radar of national recruiters. His 2024 season numbers speak for themselves:
- 42 solo tackles
- 46 total tackles
- 18 tackles for loss
- 10 sacks
- 3 pass breakups
On film, Hall consistently flashes an explosive first step, pairing his get-off with effective hand usage and long-arm leverage at the point of attack. He shows good bend and speed off the edge, allowing him to threaten tackles vertically, while also being stout in the run game, setting a firm edge and playing with discipline.
What separates Hall is his relentless motor and violent hands. He plays through contact, finishes plays, and brings a physical presence that translates well to the next level.
Hall is currently rated as the No. 45 player in Texas by 247Sports and held an impressive offer list that included Wisconsin, Kentucky, Michigan, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma, among others.
With his commitment, Texas Longhorns add a high-upside edge defender with the size, production, and traits to develop into a difference-maker in Austin as the 2027 class continues to take shape.
