After a stellar 2024 season, Texas Longhorns junior outfielder Max Belyeu picked up his third preseason All-America honor, earning a second-team nod from Baseball America on Tuesday.
Belyeu had already snagged first-team recognition from Perfect Game and a third-team spot from D1Baseball, making it three preseason All-America selections for him.
The 6’2″, 215-pound outfielder put up some serious numbers last season, hitting .329 with a .423 on-base percentage and a .667 slugging percentage. He crushed 18 homers and racked up 53 RBIs.
Not only did he lead the Longhorns in slugging, but he also tied for the team lead in home runs, which helped him lock down Big 12 Player of the Year honors.
To top it off, last week, Belyeu and the Longhorns landed at No. 14 in Baseball America’s preseason rankings.
Belyeu and the Longhorns open their 2025 season on Friday, February 14 against Louisville in the Shriner Children’s College Classic at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
