Texas Baseball picked up a pitching commitment on Monday afternoon.
6-3, 210 lb. right-hander Thomas Burns committed to the Longhorns following a brief appearance in the NCAA Transfer Portal. Burns, a native of Hortonville, Wisconsin, originally committed to Arizona State and started in six games last season as a freshman. Burns was the opening day starter for the Sun Devils as well. He battled an apparent bicep injury and did not pitch an any games following his last outing on March 22.
Burns finished the season with a 4.75 ERA and had 39 strikeouts in 30.1 innings pitched. He announced his decision via Instagram.
