The Texas Longhorns have solidified their 2019 non-conference football schedule by adding Rice University and Louisiana Tech to an existing agreement to play Louisiana State University the same year, as announced on Thursday.
The announcement includes the Longhorns and Owls playing at NRG Stadium in Houston on September 14th, 2019 and the Rice travelling to Austin to play the Longhorns in 2021 and 2023.

Texas leads the all-time series with Rice 72-21-1, and they lead LSU 9-7-1 all-time.
Louisiana Tech and Texas will meet in Austin on August 31, 2019. The two programs have never met on the gridiron before.
