Jaime Ffrench, a five-star wide receiver from Jacksonville’s (Fla.) Mandarin High School, has committed to Texas, choosing the Longhorns over top programs like Miami, Alabama, and LSU. Rated as the No. 25 player nationally by 247Sports, the No. 4 wide receiver in the country, and the No. 3 player in Florida, Ffrench is one of the most sought-after recruits in the 2025 class, holding over 30 offers.
Ffrench had a stellar junior season, racking up 62 receptions for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns. He is a savvy route runner with nimble feet, and excellent short-area quickness. He is a versatile and reliable target who has the speed to go vertical and stretch the field. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Ffrench has the makeup and build of an outside receiver, making him a big-bodied playmaker who excels at gaining yards after the catch. But he has the skill set to line up in the slot and be a mismatch for linebackers and safeties.
Ffrench was particularly impressed with Texas during his official visit on June 21st, which played a key role in his decision. He is expected to fit seamlessly into the Longhorns’ offensive scheme under Steve Sarkisian, who values receivers with strong hands, elite body control, and the ability to make plays downfield. This commitment is a significant win for Sarkisian and the Texas program as they continue to build a dynamic offense for the future. Ffrench is the 19th commit in the Longhorns 2025 recruiting class.
