The Longhorns will appear in the tournament despite a 6-12 conference record and 15 losses overall. Texas’ resume was strengthened by seven quadrant one wins and a strong NET ranking, which is a key tool used by the selection committee.
The SEC had a record 14 teams make the NCAA tournament, with LSU and South Carolina being the only schools that were not selected.
