Longhorns miss NCAA Baseball Tournament

For the first time 15 years the Longhorn baseball team will not participate in the NCAA baseball tournament.  The tournament selection committee announced the 64 team field this morning which included Big XII schools Baylor, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and conference tournament winner Missouri, but no Texas.  The Longhorns finished the season with an overall record of 30-22 which was not enough to sneak in as an at-large invitee.  Multiple injuries to key contributors made it difficult for Coach Garrido and his staff to consistently win games.
