Following 2024 five-star offensive lineman Brandon Baker’s commitment to Texas, Longhorns should be wondering – who is next? One notable name to keep an eye on is 2024 five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo, from St. Louis, Missouri. Wingo Leaning Towards Texas?
According to 247Sports, Wingo is the second-highest rated wide receiver in the nation’s 2024 recruiting cycle. Of course, with such a prestigious ranking, the senior wideout has a multitude of offers, 42 to be exact. However it appears as if the Longhorns are positioned about as well as they can be at this point in time. With that said, Texas will have to compete with the ‘hometown’ school in Missouri, as well as fight off Deion’s Sanders Colorado Buffaloes. As of right now, it appears that those are the three teams that are squarely in the mix.
Currently on 247Sports, the Longhorns have three out of four of the crystal ball predictions in their favor for Wingo’s services. Additionally, On3’s Gerry Hamilton has inserted a prediction in favor of the Longhorns as well.
At 6’2″, Ryan Wingo possesses a great frame for a wide receiver and already looks like he is ready for college ball. On tape, Wingo is clearly the most dominant player on every field that he steps onto – which is no surprise for a top recruit.
