Horns Check in at #11 in Athlon's Preseason Top 25

http://shop.athlonsports.com/images/CFB-12-004.jpg.jpgAs Athlon Sports reveals its 2012 Preseason Top 25 which will culminate with the #1 team being named on June 5th, the Texas Longhorns check in at #11 on the list.  Texas is ranked one one spot above new conference rival West Virginia which claims the #12 spot.  While it is only a preseason list it is the highest  ranking we’ve seen for Texas, which lends for good summer chatter for burnt orange fans.  Additionally it lists Texas as the second best team in the Big XII, most likely behind an Oklahoma team which will receive a top 6 ranking from the publication.  For a complete read on Athlon’s breakdown of Texas click here.
