Spoke to someone this morning and the outlook was not good. No official details out yet, but we heard it could be a pretty severe ankle injury. Again nothing is is official, but that's the fear of the staff

Damn....Guess better now than during game 1.  The staff now has a chance to put together a contingency plan.  Hope it's not broken.

If this was last year I would be worried.  It sucks, but the Horns have plenty of options. They could start LT, Williams, LG Perkins, C McMillon, RG Vahe, RT TNick or go with a LT, Williams, LG Perkins, C Vahe, RG (Okafor, Hodges, or Hudson), RT TNick.  Bottom line is the Horns have depth to deal with this. It's young depth, but still depth. Play the best 5. I didn't even mention Delance, Imade,Buck Thomas or JP. How important was it the Horns picked up Hudson and JP when they did?  Not to mention picking up DevDuv and moving Heard to WR to replace Newsome and McNeal (although those two probably would've been higher on the depth chart anyway). I think Jake McMillon will be fine at C considering the blocking scheme for power run calls for lots of combo blocks by the G/C anyway.

According to Brian Davis "To wrap up Texas' injuries, Foreman, Warren and Shackelford all expected to play vs. Notre Dame, per Strong. LoJoe (hamstring) on crutches."

That's quite a turnaround from this morning. There was fear that Shack had a break. Maybe it wasn't as severe as originally thought.

if Shack is out move Vahe to center have Hodges and Perkins at Guard with Williams and Nickelson at Tackle with  backups McMillon at OC , Rodriguez and Ronnie Major/(Garrett Thomas) at OG, Hudson and Okafor at Tackle then 3rd team Cuney at OC,Alex Anderson and Tope at OG, Delance and Uriquidez

The Charlie Strong presser is in the Countdown to Kickoff thread -- he gives some good insight about last night and this morning's events.
