Wow TCU

I would not be shocked to see Baylor lose this weekend. So the point may be mute. Though it does highlight that despite being a step in the right direction there is just a much chance at controversy as there was in the BCS.

its been a few years but i clearly think the vote made a difference in the BCS standings. From what i remember if Briles or whoever he "gave that vote to" had Ou at 1 and Texas at 3, Ou would have still gone to MNC game but if he had Texas at 1 and OU at 5 then Texas had a chance to go. But the vote mattered.

Also, if you dont want to vote you dont have to. Dont give it to someone else to screw up.
it made no difference in the standings. none. look up the 2008 BCS standings after the regular season and recalculate Briles' vote any way you want. we still finish behind them.

And the notion the vote was for the MNC game is also wrong. the final reg season vote was on who would represent the big 12 south in the CCG.

Too many UT fans don't really understand how the system or the tiebreaker worked but want to be pissed at someone and Briles makes sense.

Current CFB playoff odds:

Oregon 100%
TCU 96%
Alabama 94%
FSU 59%
OSU 30%
Baylor 16%
K-State 3%
Ga. Tech 1%

Baylor is done.

I am also split on this.

On the one hand, I think Baylor deserves to go over TCU based on head to head.

On the other hand, seeing Art Briles get bent over by karma wearing a strap on would be more than just a little funny!

TCU is up, 48-3 in the 4th quarter and Boykin is still in the game and throwing deep.

Yeah, that's a douche move by Patterson and crew.  Although nobody knows what the committee is looking at when they rank the teams tonight, so I'm sure he is looking for style points.  Nonetheless, he needs to be aware of karma as well.

Funny sign Juan.

As for the doucheness of running up the score, if the system rewards it (and it historically has) then go for it.

briles vote had no impact on the computer rankings.
Either way, Briles can suck it. I'm sure he is enjoying #5 Ohio st running up the score on Wisconsin; much like he does vs SMU and other highschool caliber teams he and his AD have set up for slaughter. I hope Baylor is left out at number 5 by a thread so Briles can enjoy his offseason
