Worst Quarterbacks in the Big XII?

Mack's optimism is a little much for me, but the number 10 ranking is quite harsh. The learning curve both Texas qb's endured was put under the national spotlight during their freshman campaign, which is why I am expecting the Longhorn quarterback play to be improved this season. An entire offseason on campus and a year under Mack's system is a sure bet to mean good things this year for the Longhorn offense.

Great points. Looking forward though I wonder what this team will look like at the position. This is an extremely pivotal year for Texas qb play. Honestly if we do not see improvement the season starts in 2013 with the same questions.... and with 2 inexperienced redshirt qb's and an incoming freshman that will probably redshirt (Swoopes). The microscope is big and the focus is crystal clear on McAsh.

Let's hope they can perform because if they don't then we could be facing a ripple effect that resounds for a handful of more years.

My concern has always been how they haven't looked well under pressure. Both seemed to rush and make mistakes. One of them has to step up if Texas is going to get where we want them to be.

It will be a watch and see thing for me. I hope that Ash will be given enough rope to actually get into a flow of the game instead of every 2 series or something. If you have 2 QB's you have none.

START OVERSTREET NOW AND GIVE HIM 4 YEARS of PLAY. PERIOD.
