Will the Horns and Aggies play again soon?

Another from former player Vance.
He is on a mission

I cant tell if this is him on his own, or part of some coordinated effort

UT and the aggies should set up a schedule to play again in the future. Clearly a coordinated effort. I've been hearing that Patterson has been pushing hard for the rivalry to come back. Have no problem with anything Vance said.

Does Bedford want to lose his job or something? I know Koenning went full aggy but is Bedford out of his fu@king mind? This is NOT the the best time to start trolling the fanbase and getting people wanting to shut you up by seeing you run off the campus. Someone needs to have a talk with him and explain a few things to him.
You are reading far too much into what he said.

I guess I am missing where he is trolling the fan base. A lot of fans want the game back and others simply don't care. Only a few really "hate" the idea of playing them again and for the life of me I can't understand why.

If so, Vance is your guy. None of the others have the bonafides, esp not Koening, as pointed out above.

And I think you are right, Patterson is in the same place as Vance.

I wonder if they have actually taken the time to discuss this? Or, whether it is just homegrown Vance?

I don't know.

I would put it in the 20-questions but mine get ignored.

(zing)

IMO I think it's definitely something that's been discussed between Patterson and the staff. I could tell by the way Bedford worded his Tweet last night, that more was coming. Something about it tells me this isn't Bedford really interested in getting peoples opinions.......this is more of a strategic move to push A&M in the direction of getting the rivalry back. Also, if Patterson had a problem with what Bedford was tweeting last night I'm sure Patterson would have given him a call. Reading between the lines, I think this is a coordinated effort by the staff to get the A&M and Texas game back. Coincides too with the rumors I've been hearing about Patterson pushing hard for the rivalry to come back. You put enough pressure and keep constructing this narrative it will be hard for A&M to deny playing us.

If so, it is clever, I will give Patterson that.

But .... I am still against it.

Strongly.

Haven't decided yet if I'm against it or for it, at least in terms of the best interest of Texas.

As a fan though, I would like to see the game again.

I don't get it...there are those of you who hate aggy with a burning passion that words can not express(which is great!), yet want nothing to do w playing them? I just don't get it..I mean in your minds do you feel that it is punishing them by not playing them each year? Aren't we taking our ball and going home in a similar fashion to what they did? Is it that you're so worried that they may win..and as a result they get to brag for a year? Help we understand..seems pretty dumb(respectfully) to me..I mean you have to opposing forces that have such fierce hate for one another, yet there are so many individuals on both sides that don't want to see them play again? Seems like if we're going to hate aggy, and I have a good amount of it for them, we might as well hate them on the field..

If your argument must rely on speaking on behalf of a mythical majority then you have a weak argument. I see no evidence that most Longhorn fans want this game back; quite the contrary. Texas needs to concentrate on returning to our expectations of winning and not doing so through a&m. I believe we should wait to schedule a home and away with them (2 or 4 games) at least until a generation of young athletes have reached 18 without ever seeing a football game between us. Change-the-culture. I don't want to play neutral field (we already have one thank you) and I'll bet aggy will not be willing to trade playing one of their patsy OOC teams for Texas (if WE had played two FCS schools instead of BYU and Miss we'd have been 10-2), especially after next season.
