Buy-out is $5 mill.

Strong is very loyal to Jurich for giving him the shot no one else would. That's the reason he backed out of the Tenn job.

So reportedly no decision from Strong. Clint Hurtt still an issue. Guess we'll do this all again sometime?

Just a thought, what if this roadblock or whatever you want to call it is from another coach still showing interest. It sounds like what "insiders" have said that Strong was a contingency plan, then with rumors swirling that Golden could go to Penn State forcing Miami to act could have expedited our decision and offering Strong. We had to do so or we would have ended up with no coach. I am not saying that Saban is leaning towards coming and that is what is causing the hiccup with Strong this morning, but there could be a slim possibility a coach is still interested and wants to come. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Still more smoke....because "somebody reported too FAST on a DEAL not done".

Yukon Cornelius ‏@jcd1124 1mFolks saying Charlie Strong hasnt taken the Texas job 'cause he cant secure a landing place for Clint Hurtt. If true, Strong is beyond loyal
I've been getting stoked about Strong the last hours, but IF this is true, that would be a huge red flag. Because it could indicate Strong is blindly loyal in the same way Mack has been, which was a huge detriment to his tenure at Texas.

This link on Hurtt, while not telling the whole story I'm sure, indicates the possibility of overdoing the loyalty thing IF that's the case:

Charlie Strong met w/Louisville staff for 15 minutes this morning & told them decision has not been reached about Texas

Who the hell is Clint Hurtt, why is he $#@!ing up our $#@!, and why wasn't this resolved prior to the offer?
On Strongs staff, but came from Miami and involved in issues that led to sanctions there. He can't recruit through 2014

#UofL players still entirely in the dark on Charlie Strong. (I know they always are when it comes to this stuff.)

Jeff Greer ‏@jeffgreer_cj 5m

To sum reports: Strong and staff met briefly this morning. Strong said no decision reached. Hitch in Texas negotiation, Hurtt one of 'em.

Wow.....I gotta say that in the organization I work in which is much smaller and not even close to being under the same spotlight, we do a far better job of controlling the conversation/message using social media and traditional media.....whoever is in charge of this message and the image for UT Athletics is throwing down a massive FAIL right now....they need to be proactive and get this under control......of course unless it's all a massive NSA level smokescreen never seen before in the history of mankind!

Another source close to Strong says coach is genuinely undecided. Says it is not about the money or Clint Hurtt.

ESPN reporting that Strong wants to tell the Louisville President and AD face-to-face. However, Louisville AD is in Denver and is trying to get back as quick as possible, but weather is an issue.

rickbozich ‏@rickbozich 7m

Source said, "I really don't think he knows. He's trying to decide. I think he'll talk to people he trusts, like Lou Holtz."

I think that the only issue is him waiting to address his team in person..that's the type of man I believe he is. Which is a good thing. Cool your jets folks..watch some Playoffs, and check out Heard's All-star game.

Adam Himmelsbach ‏@AdamHimmelsbach 58s

U of l spokesman says no decision has been made by Charlie strong.
