You've just been named Athletic Director at the University of Texas. One of your first tasks is to start filling up the future schedules.

1. You get a home and home with one opponent

2. A two-year neutral site game with another

3. And a 1-year contract to play an away game.

Having anything you want if you just ask - how do you fill out that list?

Aggies that easy I think it's only right that if we are battling them in recruiting we gotta step up and get the rivalry going again

I celebrate!

1. You get a home and home with one opponent

(areas we recruit)

Lsu, UGA, UF, Michigan, ND(already scheduled), Arizona St, The U, UCLA, USC, Auburn

2. A two-year neutral site game with another

@ Georgia Dome or @ Superdome(for recruiting purposes & i asume a team in the southeast doesnt already want to stay in area) - Oregon, Mizzou, Cal

3. And a 1-year contract to play an away game.

Rice, we need to play in Houston at least every other year. you dont, as Texas, have a need to just play a road game with big name teams.

1. Florida (we haven't played them in years and Coach Strong likes cultivating it for recruiting)

2. Florida State @ JerryWorld and @ Tampa or Orlando (see above)

3. Rice or Houston @ Reliant

1st. ..we're TEXAS. . .we don't play 1 year away games. . .we make other teams do that or give us 2 for 1's. .

2nd. . not sure I want a 2 year neutral site game either. ..I have a stadium in Austin to fill up . .

but since we're playing hypotheticals. . .

FSU as our neutral site game . ..we've never played them. . .current defending champs. ..

UDub as our away game for my boys Joe Wa Principle and PDX up in Canada and because it's one of the coolest stadiums in the nation. .

Home and Home? we already have USC, tOSU, ND. . ..I'll take UCLA. .. another trip to the Rose Bowl. . .

Home and Home w Michigan (My gfs family is up there so it actually would make the visit less painful...as long as it's an early game..brrrr)

Neutral site game for two years Vs Aggy

One year road game Vs. ND I guess

For the purpose of national attention and recruiting I think as well that the state of florida and California should be targeted. We want the talent hotbeds to see us often on national tv and see us win. It will make us the "cool" school for recruits. So....

For a home game we should schedule UF Gators home. I sadly live in south florida and its not funny how the gators are plastered everywhere down here.

Two for a neutral game site USC Trojan at the home of the fiesta bowl site. We need to focus on the pac-12 area and if we can show recruits that we have no problem going up against the trojans and winning it will turn heads. I think there is a real chance as well of this becoming a huge rivalry. Everyone remembers the 05 NC game from both states.

And for an away game lets play michagan. Two national brand names going against eachother. And would do great for recruiting an area of the country often overlooked.

1. You get a home and home with one opponent - Michigan (similar school to Texas, great tradition). Blue is my 2nd favorite team.

2. A two-year neutral site game with another - Florida St/LSU ( in Houston or Atlanta for recruiting purposes)

3. And a 1-year contract to play an away game. - USC/UCLA, Miami, Arizona, Washington, Stanford, Northwestern (a fun city to visit)

Anything I want???

1) aggy every thanksgiving day

2) ND the last regular game of every season

3) rotate other top teams for a nuetral site every year (UF, FSU, UM, tOSU, USC, LSU, AUB, UA, etc.)

By keeping an SEC team and a national brand like ND on the schedule each year you immediately have consistent substance along with OU each year. I know, aggy and substance are mutually exclusive but the rivalry trumps this.

I can't believe there is anyone that really wants to play the aggies --ever. I can only suspect those that are so fearful of the perceived success of A&M feel we need to play them again.

Let 'em burn - don't shoot them and put them out of their misery.

Home & Home: Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia, Arizona State

Two year neutral site game: Stanford, LSU, FSU (Arlington, Atlanta, Tempe as possible sites.)

One year away game: Hawaii, Miami, University of Washington (Who knows? We might get a chance to spot a Bigfoot!)

(Play agricultural? When hell freezes over.)

If I'm AD:

1st I nix the idea of ANY more neutral site games. We already play 1+ neutral site games/year which is more than 99% of CFB.

2nd I figure out a way to play at least 7 home games a year. This is made harder by the 9 game conference schedule but should be doable.

7 home games is probably not doable unless we schedule a dreg every season. My thought is we should always schedule a Texas OOC game; UNT, UTSA, UH, SMU, whatever. Maybe 2 for 1's with them?

I like what we're doing with 2 quality OOC opponents every year. ND, Cal, USC, Arky, Maryland, etc. The future schedules are lookin' good!

We get 3 games every 2 years in D/FW area, our neutral site game definitely does not need to be be there. Houston, N.O., ATL.

1. Florida state - get charlie back inside the state of florida.

2. ND - jerryworld and soldier field; two big names in two big cities

3. Arizona state - we cherry pick a recruit or two from Arizona every year and we need to continue
