First off...

The Myles Turner rumblings from this weekend has Texas solidly in his top 3. Kansas is still considered the leader but the job the Texas staff has done with Myles is really amazing. At one point despite what was being said Texas wasn't really even be considered now their top 3. The 6'11 big man is a top 15 kid in the 2014 class. Kentucky is always the wildcard ala Julius Randle.

Working on another update, waiting to confirm but if true will be a big boost for the 2015 class. He's a dynamite young guard. As soon as I get conformation I will post in this thread. I try to keep my Texas ties out of recruiting updates, but this would be big time for Texas. Talking top 5 type talent.

Got some notes from the workouts...

Will go more in depth once I get my laptop back! But The young freshman guards are really making a mark for themselves.

But one note I want to pass is the improvement of Prince Ibeh. I believe he ended last year vs UH with a double double. Look for more of that this year. His length and athleticism, around the basket will be something Texas hasn't had since Tristian.

Interesting stuff. Bodes well for us next season!

Any idea about a timetable for moving the games out of Erwin into the new venue?

That is fantastic news!

It wouldn't take long for a new coach to get this program rolling again. It doesn't take long in the basketball world. A good hire will bring back the spark and energy that we need.

Good stuff!

If Barnes can get this team of young'uns into the NCAA tourney, it might be his best coaching job/year ever.

With that said, I'd still like to see some new blood at HC next year.

Ridley expectations- from what I'm hearing, once again has gotten in to better shape, little bit more explosiveness. I can see him having some big games for Texas. Numbers wise I would like to see him around 8-10 PPG and 7-9 RBG. If he could do that with what Ibeh can bring we will be fine down low.

The main hope is Jon Holmes can step up his scoring presences a little. He has a very nice well rounded game.

I also like Holmes' game. I think he can be very effective as long as he's not counted on to be a real creator of offense. As a complementary weapon I think he can be very effective with the ability to have a few night when he could go off.

I'd like to see a little more offense out of Ridley -I would think low-mid teens very doable if he really does his thing in rebounding. I guess part of my problem here is my expectations for a kid who I hope is still early in his development.

Exactly Black. He has all the chance to be a good low post scorer much like a Al Jefferson type. Not extremely athletic but smooth with good touch.

If you told me he averaged 12-14 point a game this year I would say I can see that. It's all about how the kid grows mentally and pshycially. I will say he I getting better though.
