Hey Guys,

I had a great time last night. Maybe too good of a time?

So, I have heard about the call out threads on the other sites and read some here too. When you elect to share what you hear in a public forum you open yourself up for criticism. If Saban does not come to Texas I will be mad at me too:)

As of now, I'm not hearing anything has changed. We are still on in on Saban. Saban has had that extension for a while and has not signed it. Can you think of any reason why?

i'll go out on a limb and bet they could have found another pen for him. he's playing the game. the ante's are in and we're just going around the table seeing who's a player and who isn't.

I like your style.

Ditto.

Just remember, he hasn't signed the extension, he hasn't signed with Texas. Maybe he's conflicted, maybe he's busy with his current responsibilities, maybe he's waiting for an official announcement from Mack or maybe were not as close to an agreement in principle as we believe.

There are many that appreciate your contributions, McPhaul. I really like Crossfire.

Frankly, I don't think that you would be willing to hear forever that you really screwed up on the Saban deal if your source did not believe they knew the facts. You obviously believe the source.

Tienes cojones grandes amigo.

Saban signed an amended contract last March. I seriously doubt he's had another on his desk for any length of time (2 in approximately 6 months). But, now that their regular season has ended it's possible, IMO, that they are trying to get something done, esp. with all the Texas rumors flying.

Appreciate your info that you pass along. But no where else is there anything about Saban having a contract waiting that he hasnt signed. The guys at work said they had a bit of a scare on Weds but that they are only now talking about his contract since the season is basically over for them. Chris Low reported that they just now started on it and that Saban is expected to sign.

McPhaul you share with us what you know to be the truth at the time. Most of us have followed college football long enough to know this stuff can change at anytime. Keep doing what you do best most of us will continue to follow you. A call out threads is usually someone who is looking for attention. I for one don't even bother to read them. Thanks for sharing what you know with us. My friends y'all have a great weekend.

Keep doing your thing McP. Any smart guy knows that even the closest sources don't show their entire hand. While some may know something things and others are full of it, those that really know what's going on isn't going to flip all their cards over to display to whole entire internets before the ink is dry.
