Great question on OB so thought I would bring it here, and I hadn't even thought about it.

With Mayfield getting an extra year (sorry, don't think he gets drafted high/leaves early but maybe), that means Kyler Murray is the back up till 2018.

Do we think he hangs or does he pack up for greener pastures?

Maybe he will finally realize that baseball is his only pro ticket.

I will be the one to be flippant. Exactly why should any of us care about the back up qb situation at OU?

I'm always interested in what kind of team OU will have, now or later. And I enjoy the ill that befalls them, when it does.

Its also interesting, the story of Murray, and how he was a QB who never lost, now will he ever see the field? Again, tragedy can be comedy when its crimson and cream. lol

If Kyler's father wouldn't have been a successful college QB for A&M and even more so, a private QB instructor, I truly think Kyler would have received the correct advice for his future and chosen baseball.  It was a no brainer, go the baseball route and if it didn't work, follow the path of other athletes and go to college and still have 4 years of eligibility.  I know he has a good relationship with Steele Walker, who is the starting CF on the OU baseball team, so maybe he tries to play both sports in the future.  It would be a smart move.

Hey, good news the Mayfield kid is staying at ou. He has a proven record of not being able to beat The Horns at whatever college he plays for.

I suspect the Murray kid will follow in Mayfield's footsteps if he doesn't wake up and try baseball. Who knows if that will work out for him but I'm pretty sure he should never want to step on the field facing a Charlie Strong defense we are going to grow accustom to.
