Whats your name, and where you from?

I took the easy route and signed up with my real name.

On OB, I've posted under "boomer2320" for years. Decided to not use it hear because even though Boomer is my nickname, too many people assumed I was a Sooner when I didn't drink the kool-aid a few times. Ketch even banned me twice within six months simply because I was critical once or twice and he took my screen name for granted. I ended up having to email him pics of my Texas Exes mail.

I went to Texas 98-99. Decided to leave because I was still figuring out what I wanted to do in life and needed a change of scenery. But, I still love Texas.

Now, I'm an arts journalist for a D/FW online arts mag, and I'm a PhD student and TA at UT Dallas in the Arts & Humanities department. I'm a writer/actor/performance artist outside of journalism.

I'm Jon, I was born and raised in San Antonio. I graduated from Texas State but have been a die hard Horns fan since I could crawl.

I make (somewhat of) a living doing freelance writing and have been working on a screenplay set during the end of the Pacific war (WWII) for five years now.

Don't be fooled by my name handle because in real life "I'm awfully big."

Corey Elliot. Born in Corpus Christi, Mom and Dad moved us to Indianapolis when I was young. More family in Texas than toes on my feet and fingers on my hands, grew up 15 minutes south of Indianapolis in Greenwood, IN with one certain fact of life via my Dad; Hook 'Em Horns and bleed orange. Texas Forever.

Graduated from high school, didn't get into UT, cried myself to sleep (kind of kidding but then maybe not), got into Indiana University, went to Indiana for three years (I don't like IU, always wore Texas gear to tailgates, skipped games at assembly hall for Longhorns hoops on TV). Sports Journalism major…left school and drove semi's for two years--almost moved to Waco and took a trucking job there just to be back in Texas.

Engaged to Indiana Alum who wears burnt orange on Saturday's and puts her horns up. Life is good. Writer for Indy Sports Report where I'm credentialed Indiana Pacers beat writer, graduating (finally) next December, write for HS in my spare time because Texas, that's why. Plan to take my GRE and get to Austin for Grad school so that I can fit in at family reunions with a T ring ; ).

And that's me. Also, currently in the market for a puppy, if we can't name him Bevo then it's a deal breaker, so, I understand each of you and your admiration for the Orange and White.

Jeff. Graduate from Westlake in '88 and UT in '93. Grew up in Big D and moved back here after college. I date back to the hookem.com chat rooms and message boards using compuserve dial up, evolving through longhornfanzone and orangebloods, always as BrokenGlassRepublican.

Vern. Fan since early Tommy Ford days. Got into UT '68. Had to leave after 2 semesters. Guess since I didn't graduate it makes me a T-shirt fan? Huge real country music fan. Met Coach a few times. He was a fan of my dad and his brothers band and came to some of my sons shows a few years ago.

My name is Mike. I am a military brat and grew up from the age of 3 until I graduated in Copperas Cove. I am a lifelong Longhorn fan. I moved to Austin in 1994 and I am an engineering technician for Freescale, where I have worked for 19 years. I am married to a beautiful wife I met in Malaysia, and we have two wonderful kids. We currently live in Buda. I just turned 40 this past Saturday. I have posted on the OB for a while under this handle, as well as some of the older sites that came before the OB. Loving this new site.

I am Stewart.I recently retired from 42 years of teaching college mathematics. I live in Texarkana, Texas, but grew up in Athens, Texas living next door to my boyhood idol, Emmit (Duke) Carlisle. Some of you may recognize that name. The first Texas game I watched live was watching Duke and teammates beat Navy in the 1964 Cotton as Coach Royal....a real coach with class, was winning his first National Championship. I've only been here a short while, and tho I tend to lurk and read a lot but not post much, I am really enjoying it here.

There goes the neighborhood. ;)

My name is Craig from the big city of Buda. UT 2000-2005. Been a fan of The University of Texas at Austin for as long as I can remember. I'm a Firefighter/EMT . I married a Texas State grad. Fate kept her from her first two choices Oklahoma and Texas Tech. This is the first Board I've been a part of. I have a strong passion for the university and I am loving being able to talk and follow UT daily. My brother is a UT grad now transplanted to Michigan so I had to find alternatives to hour long phone conversations everyday.

First born is also a UT graduate and we all bleed burnt orange and really look forward to the Longhorns getting relevant again.
