What's would be a "successful" start for first 6 games..

Opinions--- what does Herman and Company record need to be for you to think this was a successful first 6 game stretch. I say 6 games because that gets us to RRR. I say anything other than 4-1 going into RRR is a disappointment. 5-1 following RRR would be epic. But even if it's a tough game and we leave 4-2 I still believe that is success. (Although I hate to admit it). Obviously 6-0 would be ideal but I can't drink that much kool-aid just yet

Last year, I thought one of the best teams in the land was USC. They were clicking on all cylinders. I don't expect to beat them, but hope that we give a good showing for ourselves.

So I see the one loss. What I don't see is Texas losing to OU. 

I think we've taken a far inferior product into the Cotton Bowl the last two years and made a game of it despite our deficiencies and lackluster coaching.

Herman loves to kick OU's butt and has what he needs to do just that. Herman loves statement games like this. Playing against Riley will not be worse than playing against Stoops. I see a Texas win against OU this year.

That makes 5-1 going into the OSU game.

SHA they said the same thing about RRR today on oklahoma sports animal. Said last 3 years we have been the worse team but have played em to the end every year. Went on to say that's the game that'll mean the most to Riley. Because if he loses that'll be 2 losses early and the fans will start turning quick. There actually starting to give UT credit, and here next weekend Herman can really start to shine

I would say 4-2 would be successful but I'm really hoping for 5-1. There are just so many question marks and I worry about quality depth. I do feel confident the team will be better prepared.

I'm just hesitant to go all in after the last several years. I have a definite wait and see attitude.

One thing I'm looking for is a better team at the end of the year than the beginning. I want to see growth and improvement over the course of the season.

I know this is about the first 6 games but I believe the OSU game is just as important that is 3 preseason top 10 teams so by game 7 Herman needs at least 1 top 10 win ( i know ou will not be top 10 when game in Dallas is played ) so 5-2

I think I disagree, if OU doesn't just get blown out but Ohio st I do believe they'll remain top 10 or not far from it until UT beats there ass.. and yea I agree about OSU I will be there and can't wait! But I thought saying first 7 games would be to much lol. The pokes are going to be tough and have had our number at home for last few trips there. They will be the team to beat this year. They are stout.

USC on the road is the only game that could be questionable. 5-0 would be successful, 4-1 should be expected, anything below that will be a disappointment and cause for concern.
