Time to move on, close the book, and start an unknown novel with an open mind. The last 4 years have been painful wathcing a football program on life support. I challenge all of you to bury it all when the clock strikes midnight tonight.
In the coming days, weeks, and months there will be a changing of the guard on the 40. I have to admit, it's exciting to think about. New blood will bring new excitement and anticipation heading in to the next couple of years that we haven't felt in a very long time.
For all the shots you've taken, remotes you have thrown, beers you drank, and swear words you've sworn, it's time to turn the page on all the bull crap that has been the last 4 years. What Mack, Sally, Powers, & Dodds have done in the last 4 years matters no longer.
DKR was right about the BB's in the box and how important that is to Texas Football. They are scattered again but this time it shouldn't take a new coach to put them all back in. One by one we all need to let the negativity go and welcome in the new coaching staff and recruits, and welcome back the returning players to positive support moving forward.
I'm not saying to forgive all the wrongs that have been done over the last few years but what I'm saying is, to worry and re-live those wrongs going forward doesn't do any fovors for Texas. Those wrongs travel with the boxes of the now former coaching staff and retired AD. We should simply let them carry those boxes with them.
Get excited folks and inhale all the smoke that will be going around over the course of the next 7-10 days. That's part of the fun and believe me, all of us are going to enjoy this coaching search.
