The post that started everything:
Shaunsters brought the goods after that:
Here comes mcphaul with some more goods:
Today kept the news coming:
That was followed with this:The Powerbrokers have requested the resignation preferably by Tuesday and no later than Thursday.
The only reason Brown and Powers would delay the resignation is to hurt our chances with Saban. Neither is on board with the hire.
The Powerbrokers even sweetened the severance package for Brown so, he would step away nicely.
I'm not just talking about the BOR to meet with Powers. The BMD's are inroute today.
I stated yesterday that Tuesday or no later than Thursday the announcement will go down.
That schedule appears to be right on.
Shaunsters brought the goods after that:
Turn out the lights the party is over, time for a fresh start. To the Flight Track guys start looking seriously tomorrow.
Here comes mcphaul with some more goods:
The good news wasn't just limited to our side:The contract has been complete from our end. The next time we see it, it will be signed by Saban or not?
Looking very good.
Former player notified me that Saban ia gone.
They are sick to their stomach and in disbelief.
Today kept the news coming:
McPhaul even dropped info on the planes that were being tracked yesterday:Mack is gone. Mack is making it difficult.
Mack has flopped more that a fish on hook in deciding on the date and time several times already.
That is why all the reporters have a had difficult time calling their shot on the correct date.
Shaunsters hasn't back down either:As we all are aware of Paul Bryant Jr's was in Austin yesterday. On that plane there were three female passengers. Terry Saban was one of the three females. It also was used when Bama recruited Saban and recently for hunting trips to Stuttgart,AR with Saban.
The second plane is used my the Crimson Tide Foundation.
The third plane is used by the coaches for recruiting purpose and this the plane Nick was flying on yesterday.
The news on Wednesday has been more about Mack fighting this:
Waiting on St Nick. We will have a answer soon
Is absolutely NOT making this easy. Just wait until you hear the numbers of the deal Mack is trying to garner on the way out.
Final actions for Mack? Here is what I'm being told.
As I said, Mack is asking for a lot of $ to exit. More than has been contractually agreed upon. Mack has us between a rock and a hard place because he knows he will not be fired. On the Texas side, we just want this thing done but, it is going to cost us.
The releasing of Macks resignation by ESPN has assisted us by making it national news. This prevents Mack Brown from drawing the timeline out any further. Now Mack has to start telling people about his plans to retire, could the releasing of this news by ESPN be premeditated by the Power Brokers to put an end to Mack drawing this out further than Thursday? I would not doubt it.
As I said earlier, as early as Wednesday, no later than Thursday. It is now looking like Thursday.
The other side of this exit contract is the new position Mack is going to transition to. As we have heard from our good friends at Inside Texas, Mack is looking for a similar position that DKR held as assistant to the President. Mack will bring in 1 mill a year in this position.
Here is the PROBLEM. One of the Main stipulations the Saban camp had concerning accepting the HC job at Texas, was Mack cannot be in a position to meddle. As you can see, Mack is positioning himself to do just that. The Saban camp does want that cloud of a tattle tail Mack Brown in the President's ear while they are trying to resurrect the program. The Saban camp is acutely aware that Nick runs a program far different program than Mack does.
I hope this does not end up costing us Saban?
My Dad used to always say " when elephants tussle the mice get squashed." That is exactly what I would say to Mack if I had the opportunity. It really looks to me and if Jamail is trying to turn the knife in the back of Hicks and his boys. He may well get a few Mil for his client but I may well cost Mack just about all of the political Capitol he has on t.he way out of the door. I also think the position Emeritas is just window dressing. Mack will hot foot It to ESPN as fast as he can. Rich Eisen told me BEFORE Mack won the MNC that ESPN had their eye on him. Just after that he started to appear more often on the Network.
You hit it straight on the head that Saban wouldn't come here if he thought Mack would be looking over his shoulder. Heck, were enticing partially because Saban knows Patterson won't even be looking over his shoulder. Patterson has other Dragons to slay that will take all of his time and efforts.
