I'll start it off.

A few years back on the ESPN boards there was a Tennessee fan named "utisdabomb". Every single article he would make multiple posts about Tennessee being the real UT. After about a month of the nonsense a bunch of users created "utisdabomb" usernames and posted Texas was the real UT.

It drove the true "utisdabomb" crazy, and ever since the name has just stuck. I get a good laugh when I read the name.

J.B. - my initials

True identity will remain anonymous.  I piss off a lot of aggies.  Don't need those weirdos stalking me.  Right, Duke?

I flew phroggs (CH-46's) in the Marine Corps. . .it was my call sign. . .

I lived part time in the quarters on base (think large dorm but with outside doors) and part time in Pensacola which was 45 minutes away. . after a kids' bday party at Chuck E Cheese. . .I slapped a bumper sticker on my Q (BOQ, bachelor officer quarters) door so guys could find my room .. . most lived down in PCola so they would use my place to catch a shower/study/rack out for awhile and their was always beer in the cooler. .. .

E Cheese became an obvious callsign. . .just like anyone with a last name Holland was instantly "Dutch" .. .

When I lead formations we were Swiss and Cheddar flights. . . .

during the upstart years of the "houston texans" i just so happen to be one of the very early users of their website concepts.  my then username was "metropolitantexan"... since of course i am a very big "houston texans" fan.  however, as the "texans" progressed forward towards their first game with the "dallas cowboys"...  the concept websites really began to "pulse".  i was one of the very top users.  and might i add...  extremely popular.

my pals, kept joking with me in regards to the "wording" of my posts.  telling me that "i wrote as if i was akin to royalty".  therefore, as a joke directed towards them...  i changed my username to "monarch".  it was indeed quite funny at the time, and yet it soon became the norm.  so, there you have it.  the official story behind my current username.

My wife, Teresa Lou... I had a license plate for my last Harley that read, "TLOU", just stuck with it for Longhorn message boards...

I worked on the PGA Tour for over twenty years, primarily with CBSSports. I became somewhat of a mentor to the younguns as they came and went. Michael Murphey's iconic book "Golf in the Kingdom" has a character named Shivas Irons. He becomes a moral guide for the young Michael Murphey in the book. So, the crew at CBS started calling me Shivas Irons. When I signed up on a Longhorn Board I had trouble and I had to ask a moderator to do it for me, alas, he spelled it wrong and I never changed it. Even named my company after the misspelling. Just kinda seemed to fit me. Well intentioned but still wrong.

I should explain here that I assumed my father's username, POCKEY, when he died five years ago. I did it to honor him. He was an original member of several UT boards but never posted. He did read them on a daily basis. I won't go into how connected he was at UT but suffice it to say UT lost a huge benefactor when he passed.

I posted that one of his closest friends with UT was Mike Campbell. When Coach retired they sat and watched games together in the 200 Club, now named the Centennial Club. Being an Actor (sometimes) I am working hard to land the role of Coach Campbell in the My All American project. Won't get it but.....

Anyway, my two brothers found out that I assumed our father's username and they both blew their tops. They objected. Even though I explained I did it to honor him, they would have none of it so I changed back to my old username, Shevis Irons.

Once again well intentioned but.... Wrong!

Mine just kinda happened. This was way back when and at the time, we were having some rather fun food fights with the Arkiesaw Hog fans on the OB main board. Anyway, I noticed how creative they were with their screen names.

Later that day, was watching King Arthur and Sir Lancelot's name kinda struck me as something I could play around with and give a Longhorn twist. Sirhornsalot happened.

There isn't really a good back story to how I came up with Chitownhorn. I grew up in the Chicago area and now live in Austin but still love Chicago so I thought I'd just keep to my Chicago roots.

People who know me never need to ask.

6'5" and 260 lbs is a lot of ugly.

Actually my old HS Coach, Pug Galiga called his down linemen his big uglys.  That was 55 years ago, and while I have gotten a lot bigger.  The ugly part has always been there.

Mine is pretty complex and thought provoking.

Texas has a mascot named Bevo. And my name is Blake.

So I took the words Bevo Blake...and then I deleted the space!
