Per multiple reports Zabié was on campus today to visit with the Texas coaches, but no offer was extended. Zabié was recently declared ineligible to play at Westlake this fall due to the four year rule (players must play all four years of ball consecutively).

Stated previously that I'm a lot higher on Zabié after seeing him in the spring, if Texas opts to offer him down the line there will be no complaints from me.

Is he a fifth year senior? Please explain the four consecutive year rule you mentioned. Thanks!

Daniel, I like Zabie too in the right situation. If Texas is able to land Little and hold on to Xavier, Zabie would be the perfect swing guy. If there's a change from that then it depends on who Texas lands. He's a project, but has a lot of potential.

He's a project for sure having only played football for a year. Lots of untapped potential in there and he has the tackle starter kit that could be turned into a stud at the next level if he takes the coaching. I'm not sure I like as a guy to have to swing in and play some guard, but he definitely has the physical attributes to play tackle.

I prefer him at tackle for sure. With Little in the fold, you could afford to wait for Zabie to develop. The guard situation would be plan b if he doesnt pick up the tackle position.

I think you see if you can land Little or Filliaga before you before you offer Zabie.

Pretty much. Kid must play four years of HS ball consecutively. If he misses a year for whatever reason that still counts as a year played. I think Zabié is a move in from Philadelphia, so something must have happened prior to enrolling at Westlake.

Oh I definitely agree. I think Filiaga is a long shot as things sit currently though. Little will have a spot no matter what.
another guy that I'm interested in is Alan Ali, currently committed to SMU but has some Power 5 offers.. I'm no scout but his hudl tape impressed me.

Believe his name has come up before, but he is down the pecking order. Solid tape and a good get for SMU.

Why do you think they haven't offered Zabie ? I mean, OU, aTm and Arkansas have.
Small class this cycle and only taking a small number of OL. The staff is said to like where they sit with Little, but they are going to be in a battle with Stanford. Newman is already in the boat, so technically two spots are spoken for unless Little tells you no. They can afford to take their time with that spot.

Taking such a big OL class this past cycle and snagging hudson and Urquidez has allowed them to be patient this cycle.

So he will have spent five years in highschool? If accurate sounds a bit weird academically.

I know Stephan and Alan personally I went to high school with Stephan at Woodrow Wilson before he transferred to westlake and he's really a good kid , he just wasn't very developed in the weight room or anything like that but he's definitely a great player . I know Alan because he played AAU with my little bro and he lives in my neighborhood . I have some big news regarding Ali but I can't share until he is ready. Alan is also a great kid with good drive and motivation
