These are some good games. Could be a tough week.

#24 TCU (3-0) at Arizona State (3-1) - both teams need this one. ASU's loss to Miss St kind of tells me they aren't ready for prime time. I'm going with the Horn Frogs in a close one.

#21 USC (4-0) at #23 Illinois (3-1) - a week ago I would have said the Illini hands down, but after they quit on Indiana, I'm not sure what we will see from them. I'm hoping they're mad as hell and come out and score some points. I'm going with the home dog in a high scoring, close game.

#22 Notre Dame (1-2) at Arkansas (2-2) - the Golden Domers need to run the table to make the playoffs. They can score but the defense is lacking. The Razorbacks were embarrassed by Memphis last week and will need to show what they are made of this week. I expect a close game in the first 3 quarters and then Notre Dame pulling out a win.

#4 LSU (4-0) at #13 Ole Miss (4-0) - is either team for real? Ole Miss beat Kentucky and Arkansas each by 7 points or less. LSU beat Clemson and Florida but couldn't score more than 20 points. I'm taking the home team in this toss up.

Auburn (3-1) at #9 aggy (3-0) - aggies are rolling but they are having problems keeping their opponents from scoring. Arnold gives the Tigers a shot, but they must protect him. If Auburn can run the ball and keep the score "low", they'll hand the aggies their first loss. A shoot out and the aggies will come out victorious. I'm just not sure I have enough confidence in Arnold to pull this off. Going with the home team.

#11 Indiana (4-0) at Iowa (3-1) - lookout the Hoosiers are for real. They can hang 40 on the Hawkeyes. Too bad Iowa can't score that many points. Indiana wins comfortably.

#16 Tennessee (3-1) at Mississippi State (4-0) - the Bulldogs are undefeated. Can they make it to 5-0? not in this universe.

#6 Oregon (4-0) at #3 Penn State (3-0) - to me, this is for #2 in the Big X. This is the Penn St running attack against the Oregon passing attack. Which one can put up more points. The Ducks are going to break open a close game in the 2nd half.

#17 Alabama (2-1) at #5 Georgia (3-0) - I don't see 'Bama winning this one. They aren't as dominant as previous years. They need to get their running game going.

Kentucky (2-1) at South Carolina (2-2) - 2 SEC teams going nowhere fast. The Gamecocks take this one.

I picked this to be upset week, since the Horns were on an off week. There always seems to be one every year, early in the season. Looks like I picked the wrong upsets.

Bctex1106 had the closest guess on the tiebreaker game, predicting a 27-23 BYU win. However, the tiebreaker was not needed this week.
