Was I wrong about Rice?

I thought for sure they were building something down there, I might have been wrong. They are about to go 0-3 and are getting handled by Old Dominion at home. I still think Bailiff has potential as a coach.

What does it say about A&M?  Rice played them close for quite a while, I thought.  I don't remember the score at various points - personally, a lot has happened since then, and quite frankly, I just don't take the Ags as seriously as many other folks on here do.  I know that the Guv's alma mater will find a way to screw things up.  They always do.

Please feel free to correct my perception of that game.  I did not watch one second of it.

They were up by 14 at the half.

Thanks, BB

I was at my mom's.  She is older and loves to chat during football games, but unfortunately simply can not chat during Longhorn games, not really, and particularly about anything not related to Longhorn football.  It requires intense concentration to watch a game with her and know what is happening, but I wouldn't give up the time with her for anything.  She is wonderful, and does quite well for her age, 90.

She had children later that was typical due to WWII.  She and my dad were high school sweethearts, went to college, but he had to go fight in the war.  She wanted to get married before he left, but he refused because he didn't want her to be a widow if he didn't return.

They got married immediately after he was discharged but waited to have children until they built a little nest egg.  I've always really admired that generation.  I'm not certain that teenagers now would be willing to make the sacrifices that 'The Greatest Generation' did.  Of course, we all hope that they are never called to do so, but if the events of 1941 happened now, would today's Americans step up?  I don't know the answer to that.

I just don't think the Ags are all that.  We will see, but I have watched them choke for so long, I will need to see something else before I believe it

Nice comeback by Rice. Down 21 and now it's tied. May have left too much time for Old Dominion to score though.

Old Dominion wins on the final drive. Rice's defense is horrible. How do you get beat deep with that little time left? Congrats to Old Dominion on their first conference USA win.
