VJ Bailey-2017 Basketball recruit

[utisdabomb12]

Per 247 Texas apparently visited him at McNeil HS today (located in Round Rock). Likely a top 25 national recruit once the rankings are released for the 2017 class.

Texas should have a good chance to get him. His mom is a track coach at UT and is a former Olympic sprinter. His dad is former NFL player Vincent Bailey.

A lot of people see him as a PG but he's already 6-3 180 pounds as a SO.

Ranked as the number 15 player in the 2017 class per ESPN.

It would be a good get but I doubt he is ready to make a pledge.

Basketball recruiting is such a strange phenomenon. You're recruiting a handful of kids at the most each year, dedicating so much time to a kid who still has plenty of High School time ahead of him is a bit crazy. With that said, I hope we can get this kid.
