Texas now sits alone in 1st place of the Big XII with this win. Hopefully this will put the ladies back up in the top 4 in the national rankings which will help their bid in the NCAAs.

Big win. Texas was already #3 in RPI coming into that match (that's all that matters really). If we beat Iowa State on the road Saturday, #14 in RPI, we should be a lock for a top 4 seed. Even if we lose to Iowa State that win last night might have already solidified a top 4 seed.

I  saw this game description yesterday in the Victoria Advocate...where the writer described the contest (volleyball) between Victoria West and Mission Veteran's Memorial. It struck me as funny (and a lot of fun for the students involved)

Though not in the box score, the Veterans Memorial student section of roughly 60 students did its best to make Tuesday feel like a road game for West, hounding the Warriors with quick chants of "you-messed-up, you-messed-up" after every error.
