Highly coveted DB recruits Deontay Anderson (Manvel) and Eric Cuffee are both on campus.

Another name Texas fans know, Christian Wallace (Katy Tompkins), is also at the camp.

Looks like camp helped some prospects...

This was a big day for UT getting some big time prospects on campus. UT seems due for a commitment. Carlos Grace is up to 185 pounds. Led Crosby Hs in rushing this year.

Solid reel for a younger player. I am impressed that his cuts all lead to going upfield instead of bouncing outside.

[Mike Roach]

I like Grace a lot, he came in near the bottom of our top 50 but definitely room to ascend.

Rahsaan Thornton of Killeen Shoemaker got an offer today. He and Blacklock would be big pickups for a team lacking d-line depth.

2018 CB Verone McKinely is one to know. He performed very well today from the sound of things. Already has offers from LSU and Oklahoma. Will be in contention for the top spot in 2018.

Tope Imade called me and told me everything went great. We will have more in Burnt Ends on his visit. This trip really affirmed his commitment and allowed him to do some recruiting for Texas.

Does Thornton have interest in UofH with Jones committed?

I'm sure Imade worked on Delance. Those 2 would be a solid start for Wickline.

IMO, Coach Strong should take the Longhorn Camp show on the road next summer to SoCal, LA, SoFL, and GA. \m/

I thought about that, but not sure how that would look to recruits and HS coaches in Texas.

Yeah, I understand it's a difficult balancing act. I'm sure neither Nebraska or Michigan has to worry about alienating their local coaches, since most of their talent doesn't come from NE or MI. But, do we wanna position UT as a "national program" or not?

The are signing with out of state schools anyway, so don't see how it would hurt. We had to go to Florida and Maryland for DBs, WRs and a QB.....so WTH......
