USA Today ranks the top 15 BCS Champions

Miami probably had more overall talent, but they did not have the best quarterback in the history of the BCS. No one has come close to the performance Vince Young gave against the loaded Southern Cal team. Remember, the Trojans were looking to three-peat, and all Vince did was throw for 267 yards and rush for 200 yards and three touchdowns. On all three he scored standing up.

So take Miami if you want, but no one was going to beat the Vince Young led Longhorns that magical season.

THat 2001 Miami team was stacked and they were mostly a young team too. There was an article on CNNSI last year about the 2002 game between Miami and OSU as the greatest BCS game played. It was sick to see the players on both teams who had at least semi significant careers in the NFL.

The talent across USC, Texas, and that Miami team is staggering if you look at all the players that made it in the NFL.

I'd have to agree with the writer *on paper*. On the field I wouldn't bet against that '05 team even if it was against '95 Nebraska!

Have to agree Braskey. On paper is one thing. On paper does not have the ability to express the will to win that VY had that year.

If USC would have beaten Texas Jan 2006, it would have been USC #1. We beat them, 2005 Texas #1
