Update on David Ash

HE had a less than impressive game - didn't the entire team? SOme I have talked to say we are back in the Chris Simms era at QB. If that is the case we are in serious trouble.

I would tend to lean towards agreeing with that accessment. Ultra conservative OU gameplan, the Defense sucked against OU, so UT should win out and go to the Holiday Bowl.

The Mack Presser today was crazy. He was in defense mode. Repeadtedly mentioned how the coaches and players would find out who their real friends were this week (after the thumping). Pretty arrogant in my opinion. The he spent a good portion of the show talking about the cancer tribute game this weekend (against Baylor). Not to be rude about it but it seemed like he spent a lot of time taling about it (even though he said he was not dodging talk about the OU game).

Chris Simms years re-do. Also, have you noticed how he always seems to make subtle references of the 2009 loss to Alabama.

Some coaches don't like to make one game bigger than the other. Me personally I think there are certain games regardless if they are in the front, middle or end of the season that you have to but a special emphasis on because it can effect recruiting, your schools fan base and overall national perception. Texas/OU is a HUGE game and is always on National TV, it's time for Mack to focus on that game...if he gets another shot at it.

Mack - Is the nice guy who takes a knee at the one yard line and never wants to run it up. He pays no attention to his fan base and thinks he can philosophize his way out of everything. Mack believes in seniority and rarely does a player who under performs pay a price.

He and DeLoss Dodds have been here too long and are retained because they are cash cows, but the football program, like the basketball and baseball programs are not to previous standards. Maybe the new standard is money and as long as the fans keep showing up and the boosters keep writing checks, will it ever change?

No one in charge seems to give a F@#K that we are becoming laughing stocks.

I think people are tired of it and honestly I think Mack and Manny are gone after this season. Had we not reached the title game against Bama in '09 he would have been gone already. Him leaving could have an impact on recruiting. He is not known as Mr. February for nothing. Parents like Mack because they know he will take care of their kid. However it is handled, if it is handled, it will be done with class.

I don't think Mack goes anywhere.. Unless we finish 6&6 Then it's possible.

I think Manny or Mack is gone at the end of the year. Someone pays for the OU loss - but moreover someone pays for the pathetic defensive display.
